Looking at home in the industrial confines of Maudetown Colliery, the new gravity-fed water column and tank are in place to serve the NCB's small fleet of steam engines. The new water tank and loco filling apparatus are now in place on my Maudetown Colliery layout, serving the small loco servicing spur on the outside of the NCB installation. I’ve been planning the extension baseboard, with measured drawings underway and a shopping list has been drafted for track, points and scenic items. I should be picking those up at the Glasgow show in February, so that’ll give me time to get the baseboard built. Assembled from cheap and recycled bits and bobs, the tank and its stand proved to be an enjoyable way of passing a few evenings. What used to be: This is how the layout looked originally, with a Bachmann boiler sat derelict, waiting for a new lease of life. Imperdibile. In the Sydney Morning Herald: Harrison Ford's chronic grumpiness is usefully employed. E.
I can't get started on today's creations before I sincerely thank each of you for your amazingly sweet words yesterday.Nick! These images are solid silhouettes, so I thought I'd try being a little fancy and making Santa technicolor.
I started by stamping him in red. Then I paper pieced his boots and his list.
I used a Versamark pen to selectively ink the areas I ultimately wanted to be white - the trim on his coat, his hat, beard and face. Then I went ahead and heat embossed these areas with detail white embossing powder. I used a Copic marker to roughly add the skin tones to his face.
I split the sentiment up by selectively inking each part before stamping.Good morning from the northwest end of Augusta, Maine where it is starting out as a socked-in foggy day. It might turn out to be a warm and muggy day, but its a lot better than another hurricane. The letter cites a fear of retaliation 'if I openly express my concerns,' and its purpose is 'to document and date this apprehension in case action is later taken against me that could be linked to a decision to voice my disapproval. …'According to numerous VCU faculty and staff members, the letter is the only protection they feel they have against the possibility of unfair treatment for speaking out about what they consider a clear violation of research ethics. While it’s unclear how many faculty members are contemplating signing the form letter, Style Weekly has interviewed half a dozen faculty members and researchers who say they plan to sign it. They all spoke on the condition of anonymity. "FORT WAYNE, Ind. ". The puppeteers and stage managers of The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia bring my stories to life on stage in the black-light puppetry productions of my books. If only I had been there to say hello and thank them in person. I know they work very hard using their talents to make magic happen. They are currently touring in North America. Here is a link to the schedule.
I love to read.I really love to read. I always have loved reading. Since I was a child I have always gotten excited at the prospect of beginning a new book. I daydream about books and sometimes I even dream about them. Thus I am starting this blog. Along the way I may throw in some random musing about society, politics, current events, etc. Though my tastes have matured, reading is the one hobby that I have consistently stuck with since childhood. I have a tendency, maybe overly, to associate years with events and time.
