This week has been rough. And somber. And draining. I feel like #allthefeels would be the most appropriate way to sum up these last few days, but I associate that with positivity. This week, particularly today, all my feels have been quite the opposite. With the multiple, devastating situations that have happened in the world recently, my heart hurts, even aches. Literally. I feel so strange and even guilty for feeling so devastated and distraught when I am hardly affected by what has taken place. The day after Columbine happened, I was home sick in bed. Every channel – including MTV, focused on the school shooting in Colorado. It was all I could watch. I was glued to the television, gathering all the details about what happened while my middle school brain pondered how kids could be so unhappy and evil. Saying I was obsessed with this event would be an exaggeration, but it definitely held my attention and to this day I don’t think I am over it. One or two people in the past have criticised me for my choice of language. In fact it appears that I have been using one of the most versatile and expressive words in the English language. Sometimes, I hate my children. And no, this is not what you think. This is not a no-holds-barred, bare-my-soul, spill-my-guts post on how my children irritate me, or how I don't always like them very much, or how sometimes I want to run screaming from the house. This is about those times I feel like I'm being, well, loving. This is about Proverbs, and what it's taught me about hating my children. You see, I'd swear that I don't hate my children.

I love them with every fibre of my being.

If danger threatened, I would lay my life down for them in an instant. Something about lemonade and Saturday afternoons. aka Erin Wasson for Zadig & Voltaire ★Photos&video: Zadig&Voltaire. You saw it here first. Or, at least well before the pundits admitted this. g. Objective: Look at how data centres and client equipment can be made more energy efficient. Thousands of officers from around the state were there to show their respect for the fallen officer and his family. I just love her. And her blog. And all the quilty goodness that goes on over there. So I was super excited when she sent me a set of her Funky Pinwheel Templates. Jodi's runner was super fun to make.

I love the big blocks and it was really quick to put together.

Some more photos from Naomi and Alex's love-in. "Yes, it was love at first sight. When I was just a little kitten, he came up to me, knocked me down, and started reaming out my ears with his tongue. I knew from that moment that we would always be together!" "I think she makes an excellent pillow! Plus her ear wax tastes awesome. I love window treatments. Not that a window can't look great without one. But in my opinion, window treatments are a bit like jewelry. Aristotle wrote that war ennobles man. The modern position is that war debases us. That’s so much easier to defend and it serves the purpose of excusing us from sacrifice, patriotism or even inconvenience. But an honest person will have to acknowledge that we live in a Hobbesian world and there are forces which would do us great harm. We depend upon special people to emerge to deal with that threat. We call them heroes. A hero doesn’t plan to be a hero. He doesn’t seek out heroic opportunities usually but neither does he avoid them. He seldom will tell you he is a hero either before or after the events. America has been fortunate to have many heroes over the life of our republic. It may be time to wonder whether we’ve used up our supply or whether heroism is still possible in a confusing world. There are no typical heroes. Most important, this book is for entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs, be they students or people who are still engaged in corporate jobs. It provides a foundation for those who want a wider overview of what starting a business means and involves by introducing the entrepreneurial business phases in different countries, cultures and sectors of industry, as well as at different levels of success. The cab is constructed in die-cast metal, and the balance is constructed in high impact plastic. When I was sewing with Brian last week, I worked on putting my wonky blocks together. You may remember that I received these blocks from the women of Bees In The Attic, a bee hive at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. I found this fabric on sale at the shop with the intentions of using it for the backing. However, I decided that I needed to make the quilt bigger and think I will add a narrow solid blue border, then add about three inches of this fabric for the border. .
